Anxiety Attacks is a deeply uncomfortable and unsettling first person game that lets you experience first hand the intense fear and choking claustrophobia of an anxiety attack.

Anxiety Attacks can look very pretty at times as you stroll through the beautifully rendered forest, but it’s certainly not a ‘fun’ experience – and deliberately so.  It’s a unique, short and very intense experience that doesn’t just show players an anxiety attack, it allows them to feel it.  Powerful and impacting stuff.

The Library is a creepy first person horror adventure in which you play a thief breaking into a haunted library, looking to escape with some loot (but will be lucky to escape with your life).

As you navigate through the old library you’ll unearth secrets, find clues and try to avoid the spiteful spirit.  In this sense it feels a little like a Slenderman game, but with puzzles and more of a plot-line.  The current build of The Library offers around 10 minutes of play and is still early in development so does have a few rough edges, but the visuals, audio and freaky enemies make for a tense, jump scare-filled adventure.

ASTRAY is a first-person survival horror game that follows in the footsteps of the minimalistic horror hit Slender: The Eight Pages.

ASTRAY’s demo keeps you in the dark, quite literally, about how to progress. While helpful tool tips show up at the bottom of the screen to acquaint you with the controls, the omnipresent inky blackness makes for an incredibly disorienting and difficult trek through the forest. Fortunately, the demo’s chilling soundscape helps to paint a better (and spookier) picture of ASTRAY‘s possible future as yet another terror-filled indie title. So turn the lights down low and give ASTRAY a try this All Hallows’ Eve.

Vermination is well crafted 2D adventure horror in which you play an amnesiac who wakes up in a strange mansion and slowly discover untold abominations of science hidden within its grounds.

The visual style and gameplay in Vermination is similar to Home, but while with Home the horrors were purely psychological, in Vermination there are some very real monsters to be afraid of.  It’s an impressive game with an intriguing story that takes a few interesting twists as you explore the mansions grounds, and it’s amazing how much terror can be squeezed out of the excellent 2D pixel art visuals.  Fantastic, freaky and genuinely frightening stuff.

Which is a short and very creepy first person horror game in which you must find keys and solve puzzles to escape a strange house.

The shadowy grayscale art style of Which impresses and immediately sets you on the back foot, creating a tense and claustrophobic atmosphere as you search high and low for keys to help you escape.  A full play through takes less than 10 minutes, but it’s easy to miss objects obscured in the shadows, so you’ll have to search the house inch to have any chance of reaching the games breathtaking conclusion.

Turn the lights down and the volume up and get ready for a heart-stopping horror adventure that’ll leave you quivering in fear.
