The much delayed Battlefield Hardline is having an Open Beta Test for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

BF4 had it’s fair share of problems, but we’re quietly hopeful that the delay for Hardline has given the devs time to iron out most of the bugs this time. Join in the Open Beta from from Feb 3rd to Feb 8th to find out!

Evolve Beta Weekend! Join in the monster mash on PS4, Xbox One and Steam. Includes access to Evolve’s “Hunt” game mode, two monsters (Goliath and Kraken), eight hunters (Markov, Maggie, Val, Hank, Hyde, Griffin, Lazarus, and Bucket), and 12 maps.

TorqueL is a 2D action platformer where the player must move and manipulate a cube to progress using a fun QWOP-like control scheme that makes various colored protuberances jut out to aid (or quite ofter impede) your progress.

Coming to PS4, PS Vita and PC, TorqueL has a rather odd and enjoyable QWOP-like control scheme, that allows you to roll your character using the arrow keys as normal, but also extend out ‘arms’ using the WASD keys. This takes a bit of getting used to as the average human brain isn’t wired to cope with both controls at the same time, making for a fun and rather perplexing experience.

The Prototype features the original 10 stages, plus an extra 5 stages developed for E3, and also a secret goal hidden within the game. This is very much a work in progress, and we’d expect a bit of a graphical overhaul for the final release, but the gameplay is great fun - with it’s odd control scheme making for a wonderfully unique platforming experience. A very quirky QWOP-like platformer (or QWOPformer is you prefer).

A Huge hit on PC and now coming to PS4, PlanetSide 2 is an impressive massively multiplayer online first person shooter featuring epic battles between hundreds of players on a single battlefield, set in a persistent world spanning four continents.

On foot, vehicle and air combat takes place across four huge maps, players come together in enormous battles to win control of critical territories and key resources for their Empire. With an extensive skill tree and free-form class-based system, players customize their soldier, weapons and vehicles to match their play-style, as well as the needs of their squad, outfit or Empire. The world of PlanetSide 2 is massive and persistent with every soldier capable of making a difference. Think Halo mixed with Battlefield, but on a massive scale and you’re getting there.

The Planetside 2 PS4 Beta is due to launch before the end of the year, with creative director Matt Higby telling Eurogamer that it will be a “full-on console experience” and not just a port of the original. It’s also running at 1080p resolution on PS4, and, they’re “still trying to shoot for 60fps”, so fingers crossed it’s going to look as epic as it’s battles are!

The Tomorrow Children is an intriguing new PS4 exclusive from the makers of the PixelJunk games, with Minecraft-style collaborative building, social economics and a story based on an alternate future where an experiment in 1960′s Russia had catastrophic effects.

It’s a good looking game, and a remarkable change of direction from the guys that brought you all those cool 2D PixelJunk games. In this strange future, where all human minds have been melded into one consciousness, you (and others who you team up with in multiplayer) play a ‘projection clone’ and must venture into ‘The Void’ to reclaim the human race and restore it to its former glory.

It’s an interesting mix of communism, clones, crafting and camaraderie, and luckily you don’t have to wait until tomorrow to sign up for the Alpha – you can sign up for The Tomorrow Children Today!

Guns, Gore & Cannoli is a over-the-top, comical, Metal Slug-style action shooter, featuring beautiful hand drawn animation, 2 player co-op, mobsters, zombies and plenty of weaponry.

Set in the roaring 20′s, your old school gangster must fight, shoot, blast and kick his way through a zombie infested city run by two rival mafia bosses to find a ‘goodfella’ who has gone missing. What follows is a bombastic side-scrolling arcade shooter, with a great sense of humour and a metric ton of OTT Cartoon violence.

Coming to PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U, Guns, Gore & Cannoli is essentially a shiny new Metal Slug with old school gangsters – and it’s a blast.

You can now sign up for Evolve’s second Alpha test, dubbed the ‘Big Alpha’ and open to PS4, Xbox One and PC owners worldwide.

For those unaware, Evolve is Turtle Rock Studios (creators of Left 4 Dead) awesome looking asymmetric multiplayer game which pits 4 players against one deadly player controlled monster. It has a large emphasis on playing to your class, with players having to work as a team if they’re to stand a chance against the monster. The player-controlled monster is powerful but can’t just go for a full frontal assault, especially at the beginning of a match before the monster has had a chance to evolve into a fully powered ass-kicking beast.

Obviously most players will want to play as the monster (of which there will be multiple to choose from), but the humans seem fun to play as too, and a well coordinated team will have a good chance of slaying the beast.

Bloodborne is the new game by From Software, makers of Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls - fantastic games which beat you to a pulp while you thanked them for it. Bloodborne looks set to continue this tradition, utilising the power of the new consoles to great effect, making for a far more visceral and blood filled experience.

Bloodborne will be a Action RPG with stunningly detailed gothic environments and challenging gameplay. Early gameplay footage shows off co-op multiplayer, fantastic character design, large mobs of enemies and faster, more flowing combat than we’ve seen in the Souls games. The combat still promises to be deeply strategic though - you’ll need your wits around you to survive in Bloodborne.

Much like the Souls games, Bloodborne looks set to kick your ass, but at least this time you can say you were distracted by how pretty it is!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is an all new fighting game set in the Dragon Ball Z Universe, coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, featuring destructible 3D environments with underwater, air and ground based combat.

As well as taking control of your favorite Dragon Ball Z characters, you’ll also be able to create your own from a choice of four races (Saiyan, Earthling, Majin or Namekian). Dragon Ball Xenoverse will feature an entirely new story, set across the planet Earth and other Dragon Ball Z locations, including a mysterious new city – the home of your player created character.
