The Old One is a gorgeous looking one handed tactical combat game in which you play an ancient stone titan, too weak to stand, but who must defend a precious diamond that gives you life from hordes of invading adventurers.

You only have a few moves at your disposal – a left punch, right punch, shake and a crystal wave (which needs time to recharge).  You’re big and strong, but you’re also very slow and can only perform one type of attack at a time, so must time your attacks wisely – one mistimed swing can mean the difference between life and death.

You can get into a bit of a rhythm and last for a while, watching the ground slowly rise as you smash your enemies into the dirt. But as much as you fight, you’ll only last so long against the invading adventurers, and much like Shadow of the Colossus, the death of your titan feels like a sad event.  This time though, you’ve not been slain for anything as noble as love – just the greed of humans on their quest for shiny loot.

A short, beautiful and unique experience where you’ll see a real titan fall.

Belly Rub Rumble is a fun little game that that shows just how hard it please a cat, as you attempt to stroke its belly without it attacking you.

In Belly Rub Rumble you must stroke up and down your cats belly, getting a set amount of strokes in a time limit without stroking outside of the tummy area.  BUT, we all know that cats are fussy creatures, if you see your cat start to look agitated you must stop rubbing immediately or feel the full force of a cat slap.  Master this and the cat will then start to move around the screen to make things even trickier.

It’s a fun little game that illustrates just how fickle cats are, purring away contently one minute, then mauling your fingers the next.  Can you become a purrfect belly rubber?

Sagittarius - a wonderful turn based multiplayer interplanetary archery game in which the surrounding planets gravity fields have a strong influence on trajectories.

Playing like a stripped version of Worms, but with planetary gravitational physics, players take turns to fire arrows at each other with the hope of being the last player standing.  This is harder than it sounds though as gravitational pulls can make seemingly simple shots devilishly tough (and so much fun).

Its fast paced projectile based gameplay is a blast, especially when a player pulls of a particularly lucky shot.  Wonderfully addictive interplanetary projectile flinging fun.

No Pineapple Left Behind is an impressive school management sim in which an evil wizard has cast a spell that turns children into pineapples.   You can teach them well and turn them back into students or decide to just stick with pineapples - pineapples are never going to be straight ‘A’ students, but children are expensive!

Poking fun at America’s 2002 No Child Left Behind Act, in which school funding is directly tied to test scores, in No Pineapple Left Behind you must decide whether to de-humanise children or humanise pineapples.  Pineapples are simple beings, they go to school, study, take tests and get grades - they’ll never be straight 'A’ students, but they are cheap and low maintenance.  Children on the other hand are a lot more complex and expensive to teach as they have real emotions and social interactions, but they can get better grades than pineapples given the proper tutoring - and better grades means more money for the school.

Money is a big factor in No Pineapple Left Behind, you are given an aim of generating a certain income and can go about it as you see fit - prioritising pineapples or people.  Among other things you hire teachers, manage what spells they use on the students and unlock new spells for them as they gain XP.   You can even keep an eye on the students personal and social traits help them complete 'quests’.

No Pineapple Left Behind is still early in development, but it’s a shaping up nicely, a fun management sim and a light-hearted dig at the American education system.  Nobody wants a classroom full of pineapples, but if you can’t afford to treat students like people then what are you going to do?

Butcher is a fast-paced and brutal 2D pixel art shooter harkening back to the classic contra-style shooters of the early 90’s, that gives you one objective - kill everything that moves.

You play a cyborg who’s sole purpose is to eradicate all organic life on the planet, using any means necessary.  This generally entails lots of blood-splattering combat  as you blast your way through hordes of puny humans, with some satisfyingly OTT weaponry.

The prototype features three levels and eight different types of powerful weaponry to blow away enemies with.  It’s a fun, and delightfully gory game, that coats everything with the bloodstains of your fallen foe.  You may manage to eradicate all life from the planet, but the clean-up bill afterwards is going to be huge!

Continuous is a delightfully sinister first person horror game inspired by the infinite looping hallways of Silent Hill’s PT.

Much like PT, as you traverse the looping corridors of Continuous, small differences in lighting and audio can create a tense, dread-filled atmosphere, ripe for terrifying jump scares.  Obviously Continuous doesn’t have the near photo-realistic production quality of PT, but it is still a very good looking game, with plenty of freaky moments.  Forget the basement or under the bed, corridors are now the scariest part of a house!
