Pre-Alpha Sign Ups have re-opened for EVE: Valkyrie – a fantastic looking first person online multiplayer space dog fighting built specifically for VR hardware, including Oculus Rift and Sony’s Playstation VR.

It’s a beautiful looking 360-degree action combat game based in the EVE universe that we first featured during the first sign up phase in March.  It’s an enticing prospect, with epic EVE online-style battles, all viewed from the cockpit of your own personal fighter.  Pre-Alpha sign-up have now re-opened, you’ll need an Oculus Rift to play, but EVE: Valkyrie is certainly the game worth buying one for!

Late Night Shop is a terrifying first person horror in which you must escape from evil mannequins that move and stalk you whenever you’re not looking.

Compatible with standard screens or Oculus Rift (and far more terrifying on Rift), Late Night Shop uses the same freaky scare technique as Five Nights At Freddy’s and the Weeping Angels in Doctor Who for some truly pant wetting frights.  Played entirely in first person (even the menu screen), you venture through a deserted mall populated by evil mannequins.  They move only when you’re not looking and they’re FAST so you can’t take your eyes off them for long - which makes searching for an exit door a nerve-wracking experience.

Currently in Pre-Alpha, Late Night Shop is already a well crafted and fabulously freaky experience - it’ll take nerves of steel and a steady gaze to escape this late night shopping experience!

Sploot is a silly seagull pooping simulator in which you fly around a town eating bread and constantly crapping, aiming for pedestrians, buildings and cars as you try and get as high a score as possible.

Created from the ground up to work with Oculus Rift (but still playable on a standard screen), the controls are simple - just aim where you want to fly, look down and you’ll plummet downwards, look up and you’ll fly high in the sky.  As you soar around the town, your aim is to get as high a score as possible.  You do this by eating bread (to increase your multiplier) and pooping on as many high value objects as possible (especially the gold ones.)

With it’s simple, crude and silly gameplay, Sploot is a hoot.  Soaring and defecating all over a defenceless town may not be the most noble use of emerging VR technology, but it’s certainly an enjoyable one!

Ethereality is a unique audio/visual experience in which you explore a stunning, photo-realistic island while hinting down spheres which play different audio tracks from an album.

Currently very early in development, so only featuring one level at the moment, Etherreality offers up some truly breathtaking views as you explore the island - with a wow factor that’s reminiscent of the first time you played Dear Esther.  More of an experience than a game, you simply explore the island listening to cool tunes that you discover and enjoy the luscious scenery.

The dev plans to add a lot more content and VR support, but even in these early stages of development, Ethereality is a staggeringly beautiful game.  We can’t wait to explore more of this vibrant audio/visual experience.

New Retro Arcade is a fantastic 80′s arcade simulator that allows players to explore and play real retro games on authentic MAME arcade machines, Super Nintendo’s and Game Boy’s.

We’ve seen similar virtual arcades before with Microsoft’s Game Room and Anarchy Arcade, but nothing with the amount of detail and ease of use of New Retro Arcade.  As you explore this retro haven, you really are transported back to the 80’s, complete with classic decor, full of glowing neon and classic movie posters.  There’s also a boombox that you can insert new cassette tapes into to change the music, from the Smiths to Michael Jackson – the devs really have thought of everything.

The main draw are the retro games though, every arcade cabinet looks authentic and is playable the moment you walk up to it.  You can even play a selection of Game Boy and SNES games, even changing out cartridges on the SNES to change games.   You don’t just have to stick to playing video games either – you can play darts, 10 pin bowling or even shoot some hoops.  To get fully immersed in the virtual arcade experience you can also hook up an Oculus Rift and truly enter the arcade.

It’s a sad fact of life that arcade gaming is dying out, but New Retro Arcade with it can live on forever.  It’s the perfect way to play classic arcade games the way they were meant to be played – in an arcade.  This really is retro gaming nirvana – highly recommended.

EVE: Valkyrie is a first person team-based online multiplayer space dog fighting game based in the EVE universe, with animmersive 360-degree action combat, built from the ground up to work flawlessly with a virtual reality experience.

During the early days of Oculus Rift, EVE: Valkyrie was the first game prototype that truly managed to combine VR with gameplay to create a full on Awe-inducing experience.  From the new gameplay trailer it’s easy to see why, with epic EVE online-style battles, all viewed from the cockpit of your own personal fighter.  This what Oculus Rift was made for - EVE: Valkyrie could easily be Rift’s (and Sony’s Morpheus) first real killer app.

Hollow is a wonderful haunted horsehide inspired by The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, full of spooky scares and full of some of the most stunning low poly visuals you’re ever likely to see.

There are two types of gameplay available - a guided on-rails chariot ride and a free roaming horse ride, we’d highly recommend trying both (Chariot first, then the horse ride).  The chariot ride is a visually spectacular haunted house-style theme park ride with some frights that when played on a standard screen will make you jump, but when played on an Oculus Rift may require a change of underwear.

The free roaming horse ride gives you free rein over a massive expanse of beautiful low poly countryside and a rather creepy woodland trail.  There are no real objectives, but There’s lot to see as you explore the land of Hollow with your trusty steed.  It works perfectly with a mouse and keyboard, but plug in a Leap Motion controller and it really does turn into a horse riding simulator - with you able guide your horse with virtual reins using the same motions as you’d use in real life.

Whether you’re sitting back and enjoying the scenery or taking the horse by the reins, Hollow is a spectacular ride full of some mind-blowing sights and creepy frights.  A heavenly haunted horse ride
