BOND is a charmingly simple looking but deceptively complex 2D puzzle platformer where you control two connected characters in two separate worlds simultaneously.

Your two characters have the ability to disconnect and reconnect at will.  When connected, one character cannot fall if the other is standing on solid ground. You can also disconnect them and re-connect in different positions to help you pass through some very cleverly designed levels.  Just watch the GIFs above very closely and you’ll get the gist.

The game is complex, challenging, and confusing at times, so it’s recommended to watch the tutorial video/walkthrough if you have any troubles.

We’ve featured games where you control two characters at the same time before (such as the excellent Staying Together), but nothing as mind-melting as BOND.  It also illustrates a simple, but profound adage - friends will catch you when you fall.

Chipset-0 is a fun pixel art puzzle platformer that gives you an important choice – comply with your directives or don’t.

Throughout it’s short 10 minute playtime, you’ll have to connect power sources, solve basic puzzles and avoid the mainframes defenses.   You control Chipset-0, a charming little mechanised maintenance unit that has an important mission: plug disconnected humans back into the System.  You don’t really know much more than that, and being a robot you shouldn’t real care, should you?

Antbassador is a ridiculous and fun QWOP-like adventure where you control a human finger as it makes it’s way through an ant colony, assisting them, befriending them and trying your utmost not to squash them!

As you might expect form some of the minds behind Octodad, the charming humor and rather clumsy control scheme in Antbassador are what make the game.  All arm movement is controlled via the mouse, while left clicking curls your finger.  After a little practice it’s possible to perform some pretty intricate tasks (but you’re bound to squash a few ants on your way).

A full playthrough of Antbassador takes around 5 minutes (we’d love to see this expanded on), and during it’s short playtime it delights with it’s ridiculous premise, charming visual style and wit.  A huge thumbs up for this fiendishly fun finger adventure.

The End of Journey is an addictive interactive fiction/survival game with random elements that sees you trying to survive for as long as possible on a raft in the middle of the ocean.

To stand a chance you’ll have to scavenge for items in the wreckage of your ship, craft items, eat, drink, keep your spirits up and survive strange encounters (ranging from pulling dead bodies out of the water, to kissing a mermaid.)  Your success in these instances is largely dependent on your physical state, but rest assured there are plenty of nasty ways to die in this game.

For such a simple premise, The End of Journey really does have lots of depth (pun intended) and replayability.  There’s always a feeling that your next play though will be the one where you manage to escape a watery grave (though probably not).  It’s a ship-shape shipwreck survival adventure.

Ant Simulator is a cool first person exploration game that allows you to wander around a lush woodland floor from the perspective of a lowly ant, even venturing into your ant colony and meeting massive ant queen.

The prototype was created for Ludum Dare and at the moment has no objectives, you just explore the area and enjoy being an ant.  There are plans to flesh out the game with wall climbing, gathering resources and food, fighting other ants and bugs, digging tunnels, building an army of ants, and more.  At the moment though, it’s fun just scurrying along in the undergrowth, watching antennae flap in-front of your face - especially with the recently released Oculus Rift version!

Fragments of Him is a short and emotional game that tells the story of a man trying to come to terms with the loss of his lover who died suddenly in a car crash.  The prototype was originally created for Ludum Dare and is now in development for a full release that expands it’s scope to explore how the whole family copes with the death.

The Prototype focuses on the young mans lover, who tries to cope with his loss by eliminating everything that reminds him the deceased.  The gameplay is fairly basic, with you clicking on items and making them disappear, but it’s the heartfelt narrative that really draws you in.  With a full playthrough taking less than 10 minutes, it’s well worth giving Fragments of Him a go, it’s an interesting and affecting experience with some pretty intense emotional moments.
