Magbot, the last surviving bot on a futuristic ship, must keep the cryogenically frozen colonists alive in this fun physics-based metroidvania.

Thirty thousand colonists set off in a ship, cryogenically frozen, to wake hundreds of years later. Robot caretakers and AI systems were with them, to watch over and take care of these lives. Then, the ship did not quite make its mark. Six hundred years late, the ship has degraded – all robots are dead except for one. One little Magbot must continue to take care of the ship and colonists, or the whole trip will be in vain.

You are this Magbot.  You have limited abilities – just a light that is also able to scan other objects. You can only use your abilities for a little bit of time before it needs to recharge. Old, dead bots are scattered around the ship and can give you other helpful abilities – like the ability to move and throw the boxes that block your passage to new areas. Gravity and magnetic fields also must be contended with and used to your advantage, and there are even huge bosses battle with.

It’s a fun futuristic metroidvania with great mix of physics based puzzles and classic platforming.  Can your little Magbot save the lives of everyone onboard the ship?

Chime Sharp is a sequel to the popular musical block moving puzzler, Chime – that was released on XBLA, PSN and PC, that’s like Tetris played through a sequencer.

You place pieces on a grid and those pieces are read as sounds by a beatline. As you tessellate the pieces to cover the playfield you both augment and progress through a piece of music.  Your aim is to fill the grid and make quads, creating cool tunes and racing up a high score as you go.

I’s a fun game, with great audio and innovative gameplay.  The Kickstarter ends in just a few hours so if you want in on the action you’d better hurry!

Tsioque is a beautifully hand animated point and click adventure in which you play a princess who must overthrow an evil wizard who has taken over your kingdom.

You play Princess Tsioque, a bright little girl who has a talent for causing havoc wherever she goes.  After her mother (the Queen) left the castle to ride into battle, the castle’s wizard seized the chance to take over the kingdom, casting dark spells of enchantment and throwing you in the dungeon.  Thankfully you’re a pretty resourceful girl, so you won’t stay there for long…

The puzzles and story of Tsioque are both great, but it’s the gorgeous hand drawn animation that stands out.  The backdrops and superb animation transport you into a world that feels like a classic Disney movie (the Black Cauldron springs to mind).  It’s a joyful game that we can’t wait to see more of, especially as the dev promises that it won’t be an episodic adventure, but a fully self contained story – with a start, finish and a grand finale.  A charming and beautiful animated adventure.

The Last Time is an intriguing new pixel art point and click adventure in which your decisions have a huge effect on how the story plays out - from seemingly insignificant choices to tough moral dilemmas.

You play Jack Glover, a retired police officer who suffered an emotional trauma forty years ago, and now lives in a care home.  But one day an unexpected phone call puts in motion a chain of events that force you to leave the comfort of your care home and deal with the real world again.

The Alpha Demo features the prologue for the full game, set forty years ago while Jack was still a cop.  It’s a great taster of what to expect from the full game - a mature story line, meaningful choices and a tense hostage scenario.  A promising pixel art adventure where your actions really matter.

Luckless Seven is an innovative story-driven isometric RPG that features tactical blackjack-esque card games instead of combat, and a unique narrative about a talented card player looking to become the best in the country.

You control Mark, a keen card player who gives up his dead-end job to travel from city to city, winning local qualifier battles to allow himself entry into the prestigious national tournament.  There’s far more to Luckless Seven than that though, with story driven side quests, multiple narratives, collectable cards and a huge 3D world to explore.

The card game in Luckless seven is like a more tactical version of Blackjack.  Inspired by Pazaak in KOTOR, the main objective in Ekosi is to beat your opponent by getting as close to 20 as possible without going over.  In each hand you can ‘Hit’ as many times as you like, then use one of your four additional cards to fine tune your end score.  These additional cards can add or take away a set number from your total, but you only get a few of them, so you have to be strategic with their usage.

It’s still early in development, but Luckless Seven is shaping up to be a refreshing take on the RPG genre.  The world design is excellent and a lot of thought has obviously gone into it’s tactical card game - it’s easy to learn, fun to play, and a perfect substitute for traditional RPG combat.  A Full House.
