Parapraxis Foundations is a stylish 2D platformer that focuses on speed runs and precision platforming.

You control a human subject brought in for testing by the mysterious MEC race and infected with a power-granting parasite.  The devs plan to make Parapraxis Foundations into a trillogy, and plan to use community led development so players can directly influence the development on the game and even submit their own content.

Taijou is a fast paced, bullet hell platform game, that plays like Super Meat Boy with guns, lots and lots of guns.

It’s fast paced, frantic arcade fun that rewards skill and punishes slow reflexes.  Levels are varied, all with their own satisfying retro style, with plenty of different enemies just waiting dispatch you.

Your character is pleasingly quick and agile, with a nice selection of weapons and special moves.  You may still be seriously out gunned but you can out-manouver the biggest of baddies if your reflexes are quick enough.

Painters Guild (as seen in Indie Statik) is a management game where you take control of a small guild, commissioning paintings and teaching your student (a young Leonardo Da Vinci), so he can become the great artist we know him as.

It’s a fun, quirky game that’s reminiscent of some of the Kairosoft sim games (Game Dev Story, Hot Springs Story, etc).  The pixel art style fits really well with the game too, especially the miniature pixelated versions of some great works of art, like the Last Supper in the pic above.

Painters Guild is still in Alpha, so some features are still missing, but it’s still great fun to play.  Features that are planned to be added sound interesting too, and should add a nice bit of depth to the proceedings.  These include the ability to hire new artists (procedurally generated and famous ones from history), different art styles, crafting, guild customisation and (gay or straight) relationships and romances.

Somebody has been communicating with the Moon. Somebody that doesn’t understand what ancient forces they’re dealing with. Somebody that doesn’t realise how seriously they’ve upset the studies of the very eminent scientist and astronomer, Dr Dog. For Dog this means it’s time for some investigation, and probably a bit of a walk.

Moon is a fun little 2D platforming puzzle game that puts you in charge of Dr Dog, an adorable little character who’s a lot of fun to play.  It’s an enjoyable romp, with a nicely realized 2D retro aesthetic, full of interesting, varied puzzles and fun gameplay.

Counter Spell is an interesting combination of RPG and modern tactical shooter mechanics, set in a Minecraft-style world.

You’ll choose your character class, with unique spells, abilities and perks.  Then play through the game in single player, online co-op or competitive multiplayer.

It’s still early in development, but it’s a fun game to play, has a unique blend of gameplay mechanics and there’s also an integrated level editor that allows for loads of user based content.
