Wait this is an MMO???
I already got my beta code just waiting on it to open in 2014
I didn’t know it was an MMO either? I just thought it was an “open world” multiplayer kind of similar to like Borderlands.

To clarify, it’s not a traditional MMO, it’s an always-online first-person shooter that will incorporate a lot of massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements.

It’s more FPS than MMO, but it will have elements of both. Bungie refers to it as a ‘shared world shooter’. Whatever it is, it’s bound to be good! :)

MTBFreeride is an excellent free roaming, downhill mountain bike simulator currently on Steam Greenlight. Race down the mountain in any direction you like at blistering speeds, catching some big air and trying not to nail into a tree. It’s a whole lot of fun, and the sense of speed and height as you hurtle downhill are fantastic.

SCP - Containment Breach is set in a secret research facility containing creatures, items and places that threaten the normality of the world. Unfortunately for you, a massive containment breach occurs and you end up alone and unarmed in the darkness with the escaped entities roaming the facility.

The game features a variety of genuinely creepy monsters, like the one in the top picture (SCP-173), an animate concrete sculpture, supernaturally fast, extremely hostile and likes snapping peoples necks. It only moves when you’re not looking at it, a characteristic that is played up with great effect though use of the blink mechanics in the game, with the player being forced to blink every once in a while when the “blink meter” is depleted.

SCP - Containment breach is still in development so it does have some rough edges, but even now the game can be thoroughly disturbing, with a variety of well designed monsters and randomly generated levels always keeping the player on edge. Turn down the lights and turn up the volume as you enter SCP-Containment Breach and we bet you won’t blink once, even if your character does!

Vision Runner is a 3D First Person Parkour Game, where you can Build your own Level, share your Level and Play Shared Levels from other Players against the Time, you can also Start a Server and play with your Friends in the Multiplayer Mode. It plays like a cross between Mirror’s Edge and Trackmania.

Galaxy On Fire - Alliances is an MMORTS title that’s coming to iOS and Android , set in the galaxy of fire universe that has produced a line of successful Action-RPGs.

The game takes place in a remote part of the universe, where Terrans, Vossk and Nivelians battle to control the valuable resources and ancient artefacts found on the nearby planets. Gather resources, construct your empire, research technology, build your army and battle other players in this complex, fully 3D rendered game.

Zenzizenzic is far more than a word that someone made up to cheat at Scrabble, it’s also a beautiful Twin-stick shooter from bitHuffel. Best played with a 360 control pad, play with up to 2 players as you weave through intricate bullet patterns, dodge and shoot enemies with a variety of weapons to achieve the best high score and beat various challenges.

Zenzizenzic can be favourably compared to Geometry Wars, with it's excellent, minimal art style, high difficulty and precise gameplay. We highly recommend giving it a go.

Hip Hop Berserker is a very silly, well animated, fun rhythm/action-adventure game for iOS. If you want an indication of just how silly this game is, it features a magical-beat producing goblin called Carter (as all good games should). Test your reflexes and rhythm to awesome beats, as you help Saro & Carter on their quest to save Hip Hop from the evil Hu Man Dong.

Heroes and Generals is an ambitious MMO FPS with RTS elements that’s been Greenlit on Steam. On one level it’s a team based FPS action game where players can engage in combat using a variety of characters, customizable weapons and vehicles such as tanks, fighter planes and even the mighty bicycle!

Players can also play at a strategic level commanding other players or entire groups in Assault Teams into combat. On top of that the strategic players have to manage resources and reinforcements in order to secure key locations on the battle map.

Black Ice is a Hack and Shoot – that is, it’s a hack and slash RPG about hacking that utilises first person shooter controls. It’s like Borderlands/Diablo meets Tron, where your goal is to find and hack the biggest server of them all to release an imprisoned AI. It features fully randomized loot, a levelling system, minions and more.

When you start the game, you are surrounded by a variety of relatively easy to hack coloured servers, but stray further afield and things can get much tougher. Walk up to a Server and right click to start Hacking and a load of nasty minions will spill out of it and start attacking you. Complete the hack to earn XP and collect some lovely loot to aid your future Hacking attempts. It’s an addictive little game with a great art style, and well worth a try.
