Meteo: Facade is a great looking first person point and click adventure in which you wake in in a mysterious underground labyrinth with a strangely naïve girl called Sunnie, and must solve intricate puzzles in order to escape.

This odd underground labyrinth has some beautiful sights to discover and tricky puzzles to decipher. Thankfully though, you don’t have to do it on your own, Sunnie lends a hand where she can. Throughout the course of the three levels you’ll get to know Sunnie, a pretty and rather odd character who seems remarkably naïve about the outside world.

Even in these early stages of development Meteo: Facade is an impressive game, with great visuals, clever puzzle design and an engaging story. Where this story leads, we’d love to find out, as the underground facility holds many questions and Sunnie is an intriguing character we’d love to know more about.

Dungeon Fighter Online is a fun side-scrolling arcade hack and slash MMO with gorgeous 2D visuals, and fast-paced arcade combat.

Dungeon Fighter Online did make an appearance in North America in 2013, but was shut down as it was pretty broken. However, due to popular demand it’s back and better than ever. It’s a gorgeous looking game with cool sprite based visuals and some rather spectacular special moves.

As well as online co-op, players can build guilds and even partake in PvP matches. The hack and slash gameplay is similar to classics such as Golden Axe or Double Dragon, or for a more recent comparison, Dragon’s Crown on Vita. Players traverse the stylish 2D backdrops, teaming up with other players and kicking ass.

It’s a fun game, offering old school hack and slash thrills with online multiplayer and snazzy visuals, hopefully this version lasts a bit longer than the 2013 one!

The Miskatonic is a beautifully hand-drawn 2D side-scrolling horror comedy visual novel, where you play as a odd female protagonist with a huge shotgun in a demonic university. It’s inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, with old school survival horror puzzles and ‘harrowingly humorous’ dialogue.

The Miskatonic‘s appeal is its nice aesthetic design, wonderful character designs, a great atmosphere in a beautifully grim world, and horrifically fun dialogue interactions between the unique characters. Dark, humorous and stylish stuff.

Yandere Simulator, Yandere meaning love-struck, is a murderous stealth game about stalking a boy who you’re obsessed with, and will do ANYTHING to get his affection.

While trying to gain your crush’s love, you have to secretly eliminate any girl who seems interested in your beloved, through various means – which include manipulation, framing the innocent and murder. All the while you have to maintain the image of an innocent schoolgirl and not get caught.

Think of this game as a mix of the Hitman games and some of the stranger Japanese anime shows with all the silly and perverted actions and scenes that go along with them (there’s a bit of a fascination with panties).

Yandere Simulator may not be for everyone, it’s pretty macabre stuff, but it’s certainly entertaining and well worth checking out if you’re a fan of anime, murder and stealth.

Beast’s Fury is a beautiful 2D fighting game inspired by Skullgirls and Street Fighter with anthropomorphic characters and some fantastic hand drawn animation.

This build is still VERY early in development, so the fighting systems are a little basic at the moment, but the real allure of Beast’s Fury is it's aesthetics, with smooth hand drawn animations, interesting characters, and awesome soundtrack. The full game will not only involve action, but also feature engaging story lines, conveyed through some beautiful hand drawn cut scenes.

Beast’s Fury will feature a selection of interesting animal themed characters, such as a cyber-raptor and a boxing horse, while the Pre-Alpha Demo lets you play as a shark in a suit and a cat man.

The character animation is a painstaking process but having successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign, development has now been able to kick up a gear so we can look forward to be seeing more of this gorgeous 2D fighter in the future. Beautifully animated fists of furry.

Miko Gakkou Monogatari: Kaede Episode is a 3D Japanese adventure RPG set in a world where humans and youkai (supernatural Japanese monsters) coexist with one another. You play as a shrine maiden student in a story that tackles the topic of falling in love.

The game is a charming and eccentric anime-like 3D RPG, with a light hearted atmosphere and a storyline that revolves around your character spending her winter holiday inside the school campus, and falling in love with a mysterious character.

The Alpha Demo is really more of a teaser, giving you a small peek at what Ayanoyama miko school is like. Allowing you to walk around and interact with other characters, with plenty of dialog to go through all wonderfully voice acted in Japanese with English translations.

Miko Gakkou Monogatari: Kaede Episode looks set to be a fun and whimsical Anime-style RPG, and a refreshing change from huge swords and behemoths.anime
