After School is a short and beautiful little adventure with artwork created entirely from paper, pencils and watercolours, that tells a tale of unrequited love as a young girl yearns for the object of her affections to just look up from his book and notice her.

Sure the girl may come across as a borderline stalker, but all she really wants is for her true love to notice that she exists – a fact that hits hard in the game’s poignant ending scene.

Fleeing The Complex is the latest exciting episode in the popular Henry Stickmin mini-series - animated adventures where there are a few ways to succeed and many funny (and painful) ways to die.

Branching pathways, multiple endings and high quality humor make Fleeing The Complex well worth re-playing so as you seek out every ending and every silly way to die.

Henry Stickmins escape attempts may fail more times than succed, but the jokes always land perfectly in this superbly silly stickman adventure.

Indivisible is a beautiful side scrolling 2D action adventure RPG from the developers of Skullgirls, with gorgeous artwork and gameplay inspired by classics like Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid.

Indivisible impresses with its fun 2D side-scrolling platforming and exciting Valkyrie Profile-esque team-based turn-based(-ish) combat system.  It features a fantastic soundtrack from legendary Japanese composer Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3), and of course, being from the Skullgirls devs, the animation is superb.  A super slick side-scrolling adventure.

WEAVE is a beautifully animated minimalistic adventure that shows the journey of two characters as they try to cope with a shared event in very different ways.

The game is played in a similar way to Samorost, with you clicking on interactable sections of the screen and solving puzzles.  Lasting just over five minutes and played entirely without dialogue, there’s a lot of symbolism in WEAVE’s beautifully constructed world – especially the large black immovable ball which looms over the characters.

The minimalistic abstract artwork and sombre music score help create an almost hypnotic effect as you bask in it’s beauty and unravel WEAVE’s heartfelt story.  A touching and mesmerizing audio/visual experience.

Karma. Incarnation 1 is a beautiful new puzzle adventure with a great sense of humor, fantastic animation and point and click gameplay reminiscent of Machinarium.

In Karma. Incarnation 1, you play charming little creature called Pip who is trying to save his planet and his true love from a planet devouring darkness.  Pip finds himself incarnated in a dark and surreal world, filled with all types of strange local wildlife.  He’s is naive about this world, so must experiment and interact with the local fauna as he figures out who he is, while learning the laws of karma and the relativity of good and evil.

Throughout the sizeable Alpha Demo, Karma. Incarnation 1 impresses with its fun puzzle design, charming characters, quirky humor and jaw-droppingly beautiful animation.  The whole game feels like you’re playing a surreal interactive cartoon with animation standards as high as you’d see in a Studio Ghibli movie.  A beautifully bizarre puzzle adventure.

Tsioque is a beautifully hand animated point and click adventure in which you play a princess who must overthrow an evil wizard who has taken over your kingdom.

You play Princess Tsioque, a bright little girl who has a talent for causing havoc wherever she goes.  After her mother (the Queen) left the castle to ride into battle, the castle’s wizard seized the chance to take over the kingdom, casting dark spells of enchantment and throwing you in the dungeon.  Thankfully you’re a pretty resourceful girl, so you won’t stay there for long…

The puzzles and story of Tsioque are both great, but it’s the gorgeous hand drawn animation that stands out.  The backdrops and superb animation transport you into a world that feels like a classic Disney movie (the Black Cauldron springs to mind).  It’s a joyful game that we can’t wait to see more of, especially as the dev promises that it won’t be an episodic adventure, but a fully self contained story – with a start, finish and a grand finale.  A charming and beautiful animated adventure.
