World Of Speed is a great looking new racing game MMO from the creators of Need For Speed: Shift and Project Cars that sees you racing around real world locations from around the globe.

Releasing on PC only, graphically World Of Speed is looking pretty stunning, with the real world locations and licensed cars looking near photo-realistic.  The game will be free to play, with micro-transactions planned to be as unobtrusive as possible and are rumoured to focus on customisation, not performance, so don’t expect to see Forza 5 style paywalls.

There’s a big focus on team based gameplay in World Of Speed, with races having mini-goals throughout them, so the team that comes in first position may not necessarily win.  A good team will need racers and blockers to help cross the finish line first, but will also need drifters and drafters to earn skill points throughout the race, with the team with the most points at the end of the race winning outright.

World Of Speed is shaping up to be a fantastic new racer, Beta sign-ups are now open.  See you on the starting grid!

Dusk of D.A.W.N. is a great looking trading card game that sees you taking on the role as C.E.O. of your own Megacorporation in a world that has been ravaged by a psychotic Skynet-like AI.

You’re tasked with battling other corporations for supremacy, using  tactical and strategical weaponry, defences, abilities and synergies, all in card based form.

The game mechanics of Dusk of D.A.W.N. are solid, making for some very entertaining and strategic battles, and the futuristic setting fits well, makings for a refreshing change from the usual Tolkienesque fantasy style of trading card games.

First Person Flappy Bird is exactly what the title suggests.  You take control of your flappy bird and guide it through gaps in Mario-esque pipes in glorious 3D.  There are a couple of fundamental differences though, at the moment the pipe layout isn’t randomly generated and game is ridiculously hard, with the dev himself only managing a high-score of 4 (ours was 3).

While we’d like to see the difficulty toned down a bit, the game still manages to pull off the Flappy Birds trick of taking up far more of your time than it really deserves.  Also, if you get fed up of banging into things, repeatedly tap the space bar at the start and you’ll soar high above those pesky pipes!

You’ll do this by helping the Mims build and defend against dangerous wildlife using RTS elements protecting and using your God-like superpowers.

The Mims is a joy to play and really oozes character. The gameplay is shaping up really well, drawing favourable comparisons to Populous, but it’s the vibrant world, sense of humour, great characters and all-round playfulness of he game hat really draws you in. It fees like something that Nintendo could of made, in-fact It’s hard not to expect some Pikmin to pop up while you’re exploring your island!

Air Knight is an excellent side scrolling arcade shooter that really takes advantage of it’s wonderful voxel based graphics.  Unfortunatley it has already been cancelled, and all that is left of it is an Alpha build.

The Alpha build plays really well, has Xbox 360 controller support, a catchy retro soundtrack, power-ups and the ability to blow up any terrain or enemies into a tiny voxels.

It’s a real shame the game has been cancelled as the levels in the Alpha build are great fun to play, and it’s great fun smashing everything into a spray of voxels.  Air Knight still has a Greenlight page though, so if the game gets enough interest maybe the dev (RetroSouls) will think about restarting the project.  It’s worth visiting the RetroSouls website anyway, as they have lots of great free retro styled games that did reach completion.

Interference is a very cool cyberpunk/tech-noir stealthy puzzle Metroidvania platformer that draws favourable compariusons to Flashback, Mark of the Ninja and Gunpoint. Set in a place where citizens’ rights have been replaced by totalitarianism, oppression, and a robotic police force, your character joins up with a cyberterrorist group called the ‘interferers’ to find out whats really going on in the city.

Your character cannot kill, so stealth and skill are required to navigate the world. You also have the power to manipulate your enviroment, moving sections around to aid your passage and avoid discovery, it’s a great mechanic that really adds interesting puzzle elements to the gameplay.

Interference is a great slice of 2D neon noir, with similarities to Flashback, but with some great new ideas of it’s own.

GodSpace Galactic 2 (the sequel to 2013s original) is a God simulation/sandbox game, where you use your god-like powers to create your own solar system.

You can mess with asteroids, comets, planets, stars, and even black holes, using your many God powers to push, pull, create orbits, fire nukes, shoot lasers, resize objects, and much more.  You can ever create life on planets, watching the lifeforms evolve into space faring civilizations, or just wipe out them out by throwing the planet into a Black hole.

There’s even online multiplayer, allowing you to team up and create a solar system together, or just go to war with each other.

Ultimately GG2 is about choices, you’re given the keys to the solar system and allowed to do whatever you like with it, you are a God after all!

Wings of Saint Nazaire is very pretty, multi-player action-orientated space simulation game inspired by Wing Commander and the X-Wing series.

The ships have a great arcadey feel, similar to X-wing, nimble and agile, making dogfights a delight. This makes Wings of Saint Nazaire easy to pick up and play, but there’s also plenty of depth, with plenty of advanced tactics available thanks to the ships energy management system and a nice selection of weaponry.

One of the best things about the game though, is the graphical style, it uses a mixture of sprite and basic 3D polygon graphics to great effect. Allowing for plenty of ‘wow, that looks f*#%ing awesome’ moments.

With exciting gameplay, tactical depth and beautiful vistas, Wings of Saint Nazaire is shaping up to be an excellent game. Whether you’re blowing things up or just admiring the scenery, you won’t regret getting in the cockpit.
