Me is a short and visually spectacular 2D side-scrolling action game created for Ludum Dare 33 that sees you hunting a mighty beast across beautiful hand painted backdrops.

Me is VERY short, and can be completed in just a few minutes, but it’s certainly worth experiencing for the fantastic hand painted artwork.  The beast is a huge, red, animated work of art - a little like the Colossi in Shadow of The Colossus, it’s work of such monstrous beauty, that it feels a shame to kill it.  To kill such a thing maybe you’re the monster…

Nom Monster is a fun little in which you use various treats to ‘fish’ for humans, dragging them up into the trees and eating them up.

You must try to avoid the dogs and birds (who try and steal your bait) and hook as many tasty humans as possible before you starve to death.  It’s a simple and addictive little game with a great visual style and deliciously dastardly premise.  Humans make for great nomming!

Final Fantasy VII: Re-Imagined is a fantastic fan made project that re-imagines Square’s classic RPG as a classic Streets of Rage-style side scrolling beat-em-up, complete with Materia, XP and summoning.

The current build features one full level, local co-op play, two playable characters (Cloud and Tifa) and one fire support character (Barret).  You can also summon your Guardian Forces, charging them up by beating up enemies, then unleashing them for maximum devastation.  In the Final Fantasy VII: Re-Imagined Prototype, Cloud summons Ifrit and Tifa summons Shiva, but in the full game players will be able to acquire and equip new Guardian Forces as in the original.

The Materia system is also remarkably similar to FFVII, with players able  to utilise Fire, Ice and Lighting Materia to unleash special effects at the end of a four hit combo.  And of course, as it’s based on an RPG, in the full game Materia, Summon Gems, Fire Support and character move sets will all be upgradable through XP accumulation.

It’s still very early in development, but Final Fantasy VII: Re-Imagined is already a thoroughly impressive RPG beat-em-up experience, full of fan service, exciting combat and real depth to the gameplay.  Not just a great Final Fantasy VII homage, but a great game in general.

Speak of the Cloud, a wonderfully animated point and click adventure, has you trying to save your stubborn grandfather who won’t leave his house.

An alien invasion has started in your area. Everyone is evacuating as soon as they can, but your stubborn, old, grandfather seems to think that the aliens are not a problem. He’d much rather sit in front of his TV and ignore the UFO’s swarming around the town. Watching a tennis match seems to be the only thing he is interested in. He feels that if he ignores the aliens, they will leave him and his precious TV alone. It’s up to you to get this old man off of the sofa and out of the apartment.

This short game takes place in a relatively small apartment building. Using the objects around you, you must talk to neighbors and come up with some solution to get your grandpa to leave the room. Hooked to the TV, will you be able to make this man get out, for his own good?

Speak of the Cloud was made for Adventure Jam and the devs plan to expand on it into a fully fleshed out version.  We can’t wait to see where the developers, Mechanic Moon Studio, take this game next as it’s already a charming, humorous and delightfully drawn adventure.  A cloud with a very silver lining.

Timeless is a time bending first person platforming puzzle game that will really test your grey matter to the limits as you record and replay fragments of time to aid your progress.

The initial premise sounds simple - you’re able to record a fragment of time with a simple mouse click, then replay it whenever you like with another click.  Where things get a bit trickier are when you start recording over previous recordings - such as recording one platforms movement, then recording another platforms movements on-top of it – requiring quite a bit of forward planing at times.

There is a bit of a Portal vibe in Timeless, mainly as you’re traversing various test areas, but the time bending gameplay is far different from Valves offering.  Once you get to grips with Timeless it’s a unique experience with satisfyingly complex puzzles, but be warned, the time bending gameplay may just break your mind!

The Inquisitor, a game made for the Procedural Generation Jam, is a well polished procedural murder mystery!

You must solve a murder, finding the killer, the weapon, and the motive behind said killing. But each time this game is played, every aspect of the game changes.

The player must find the dead body, find clues, and figure out who has ruined this lovely evening. There are many, many rooms to explore, some with people, others with chests or wardrobes to search in. There are 7 people that may killed the victim. More than one person may have motive for killing said person, but it is up to you to figure out who has really done it and why.

After finding the dead body, the player will have clues as to how the person died and as to when. With that information, it is easier to question others about their alibi and look for items that may have been used in the murder. In chests and cabinets, there are items that have been handled recently. Not all of these items are involved in the murder. For example, if the dead body has tons of cuts and stab marks, it is less likely that poison was used. People also may be carrying items that can give you clues, but it will cost gems to search them. You only have 3 gems, so this must be a calculated move.

Once you have chosen the killer, found a weapon, and figured out why, you must accuse the person, and see if you are correct in all aspects. You only get one guess, so choose wisely!
