Guns, Gore & Cannoli is a over-the-top, comical, Metal Slug-style action shooter, featuring beautiful hand drawn animation, 2 player co-op, mobsters, zombies and plenty of weaponry.

Set in the roaring 20′s, your old school gangster must fight, shoot, blast and kick his way through a zombie infested city run by two rival mafia bosses to find a ‘goodfella’ who has gone missing. What follows is a bombastic side-scrolling arcade shooter, with a great sense of humour and a metric ton of OTT Cartoon violence.

You can now sign up for Evolve’s second Alpha test, dubbed the ‘Big Alpha’ and open to PS4, Xbox One and PC owners worldwide.

For those unaware, Evolve is Turtle Rock Studios (creators of Left 4 Dead) awesome looking asymmetric multiplayer game which pits 4 players against one deadly player controlled monster. It has a large emphasis on playing to your class, with players having to work as a team if they’re to stand a chance against the monster. The player-controlled monster is powerful but can’t just go for a full frontal assault, especially at the beginning of a match before the monster has had a chance to evolve into a fully powered ass-kicking beast.

Obviously most players will want to play as the monster (of which there will be multiple to choose from), but the humans seem fun to play as too, and a well coordinated team will have a good chance of slaying the beast.

The Crew - Ubisoft’s cool looking new open world racing game is heading into Closed Beta on PS4 & Xbox One in September, while PC players will be able to take it for a spin at the end of this month.

In The Crew you’ll take part in illegal street races, tune up your car, build up a reputation and form a crew. It really is a next gen racing game, and looks the part, with the cars and the open world recreation of the United States looking fantastic. It also features some innovative online features, allowing you to seamlessley jump into friends games at any time, joining forces to take on tough challenges.

The Crew’s closed Beta for the PC version is due on the 25th Aug to the 29th Aug, you can pre-order the game to guarantee access or sign up to the waiting list. The PS4 & Xbox One Betas will be held in September, no purchase necessary.

Fable Legends is a 5 player asymmetric multiplayer game coming to Xbox One, similar to Evolve, where 4 players work together to defeat one all powerful villain.

Based on the Fable series, and in production by Lionhead Studios, you’ll return once again to the land of Albion. You can play the whole game in single player if you wish, with three computer controlled allies, or co-operatively with 3 friends, with the ability to switch easily between single player and multiplayer whenever you decide. During a quest, you can elect to battle a human villain or an AI villain.

Fable has always presented opportunities for mischief and villainy, and in Fable Legends you’re able to play the bad guy as never before. The Villain player takes control of the many creatures, minions, traps, and environmental hazards that Heroes must overcome. When those Heroes enter an area, you’ll choose which minions are sent into battle and where to place these creatures to maximize their effectiveness. Once the fight begins, you issue the orders for your creatures to execute: telling them where to go, which Hero to attack, and what abilities to use to ensure your evil plans come to fruition.

If the trailer is anything to go by it’s going to be a very good looking game, with fun combat and a nice selection of creatures to beat up/command. The 5 player multiplayer is particularly exciting, playing the hero looks like fun, but playing as a villainous dungeon master sounds wicked.

The Open Beta for Microsoft’s ambitious new game-builder Project Spark is now available on Xbox One. It seems that the possibilities of Project Spark are limitless, like a 3D version of Little Big Planet 2. As shown above, you can create pretty much any type of game you like or even just remix existing ones, with some good examples of platformers, RPGs, racers and puzzlers already available.

Interestingly, although the Beta is free, there is the option to buy ‘Spark Tokens’ from the store (500 for $4.99), so it looks like MS are after your money right from the off.

The game cross-saves between the PC and Xbox One, so you can continue with your creations from either platform. Everyone that got into the PC Beta test is automatically into the Xbox One Beta test, but other Xbox One owners looking to take part will have to sign-up, everyone gets in, but you have to sign-up. Titanfall is now in OPEN Beta for Xbox One, PC will follow.

The Titanfall Beta is now open to ALL Xbox One users, no beta key required. To get into the Xbox One Beta, sign into your console and look for the Titanfall Beta download in the “New Game Demos” section of the Game Store. The PC version is due to go into Open Beta tomorrow, so then everyone will be able get into one of those big, beautiful mechs.
