Chaos Heroes Online is a good looking new MOBA based on a variant of the original DOTA mod for Warcraft III.
It’s yet another MOBA in a market reaching saturation point, and doesn’t do an awful lot to distinguish itself from all the other MOBAs out there, but it does have some merits. It comes with a nice selection of heroes, some rather flamboyant special moves, shiny visuals, destructible terrain and the ability to gear up your character without having to return to base.
It may not be terribly original, but Chaos Heroes Online does look like a fun new way to experience those well trodden MOBA lanes.

Strife is now in Open Beta! Strife is an interesting MOBA with lots of character, that aims to reduce player toxicity to newcomers, making it a game anyone can play, not just the MOBA elite.

It’s a fun and easily accessible MOBA, a great way of dipping your toe in the MOBA pool without getting it bitten off.

The Witcher Battle Arena is a fast, fun and accessible MOBA game based coming out on the mobile platform (android, iOS, Windows Phone) where you can play as your favorite character from the Witcher universe and battle it out with other players online.

The game will be free to play with no pay-to-win elements, and so you can unlock every piece of content in the game through gameplay progression. It’s unusual to see a MOBA on the mobile platform but it will be interesting to see what CD Project RED bring to the table.

Gigantic is a rather gorgeous looking 3rd person team based action game that pits teams of four against each other on lush battlefields, with each team also having a massive guardian which is capable of crushing enemies underfoot.

A mystical bond connects you and four teammates to your guardian - a magical behemoth too powerful for a single mortal to defeat. You must protect your guardian as your team charges across the battlefield, then see it crush your enemies.

You’ll also have a variety of classes to choose from, from Juggernauts to fire-breathing sorcerers, with an ability to upgrade on-the-fly, allowing you to tailor your character to your playstyle.

It’s an impressive looking game, with it’s $20 million backing seeming to be well spent. Gigantic looks like a blast to play, with fast paced combat and huge giants roaming the battlefields, it’s a little like a less minimalistic version of Atari's Minimum.

Transformers Universe is a 3rd person MOBA that pits Autobots against Decepticons in heated battles of metallic carnage.

The game looks wonderful, with the 3rd person perspective and the ability to transform adding new dimensions to the normal MOBA formula. There are also plenty of customisation options available, allowing you to modify your mighty metallic warrior to match your play style. It may be another MOBA in a market that’s reaching saturation point, but Transformers Universe has a surprising amount of fresh ideas. These robots in disguise are more than meets the eye.

The Open Beta starts today (July 4th) and this weekend they’re going to be celebrating with a double XP weekend, a 24-hour live Twitch stream (11am EDT July 5 - 11am EDT July 6) and $75,000 in prizes to be won.

Dawngate is a relatively new MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game developed by Waystone Games and published by EA, taking inspiration from the likes of League of Legends and the well known old-boy, Defence of the Ancients. This game takes the standard MOBA frameworks and adds its own unique style and twist to the mix, with a theme of customization and flexibility, as a player we can find freedom to develop our character and play the game however we see fit.

Choose from a large variety of different playable characters and tailor every part of the game to fit your personal style of play. Whether you want to be a tanky bruiser bludgeoning through the jungle, securing objectives, or maybe a ranged assassin, sniping off huge kill scores and carrying your team to victory.

The mechanics are relatively complicated to get the hang of if you are a first timer to this style of game, but after committing to a few matches it becomes very easy to get addicted and the satisfaction of scoring your first triple kill is second to none. Dawngate is currently in open beta so if you’re a fan of strategic, team-based, fast-paced action, this game would most definitely do wonders for you.

Arena Of Fate is a new MOBA from Crytek (Makers of Crysis and Warface), where you take control of iconic characters from history and fantasy, and beat the crap out of each other in 5 Vs 5 arenas.

There’s an eclectic and intriguing line up of playable characters, including Little Red Riding Hood, Joan of Arc, Nikola Tesla and Robin Hood. The game promises a fast-paced combat experience that is instantly accessible for newcomers but deep enough to captivate veteran campaigners too.

The character roster is the main draw for Arena Of Fate, but Crytek have a pedigree of making great games that look amazing (if your PC is powerful enough to play them). I can’t imagine Nicola Telsa ever imagined he’d be a ghatacter in a video game where he could beat up Little Red Riding Hood though!

The DC Comics MOBA, Infinite Crisis goes into Open Beta today and to celebrate they’re adding 3 new characters to the roster. Green Arrow, Aquaman and Mecha Superman will coin the ranks of Batman, Joker, Wonder Woman and a host of other DC Heroes and Villains.

Infinite Crisis is a fun take on the MOBA genre, and while it may not have as many playable characters as some, the DC licence adds a lot to the game, mainly because everyone enjoys beating up Superman!
