Tiny Mighty is a new MMORPG that we’re amazed has got past Marvel’s lawyers, with it’s adorable (but surely copyright infringing) versions of the comic book giants super heroes.

The characters in Tiny Mighty do have slightly different names from the Marvel originals, so you end up with characters called ‘Rabid Racoon’, ‘Black Spider’, ‘The Hunk’, ‘Human Fire’, ‘Magnet Man’ and ‘The Archer’ among many the others. These humorous spins on the original characters do raise a smile, but sadly that’s all there is to enjoy in this rather lacklustre MMORPG. Aside from the characters (which aren’t really theirs anyway), Tiny Mighty offers some rather mundane gameplay.

It’s free to play and playable in a browser, with no download necessary, so you might want to check it out just for the characters, but the gameplay won’t keep you coming back for more. A mighty shame.

Rodinia War offers a unique blend of 2D strategy simulation and 3D MMORPG in which you build a mighty empire in the world map and fight and complete missions in third person open world action sequences.

The strategy side of Rodinia War allows players to create a hometown, manage resources, conquer cities, forge alliances and build a massive empire. While the 3D open world combat sections allow players to take their knights on missions, gaining experience and reaping rewards. There are five knight classes, and developing them is a key feature in the game, as they’re not only good in combat, but have uses in ruling the kingdom too.

Rodina War’s novel blend of playstyles looks like it will have something for everybody, offering an MMORPG with exciting combat and plenty of strategic depth.

StarBreak is a great new massively multiplayer metroidvania with roguelike elements in which dozens of players can team up and battle diverse enemies and bosses across procedurally generated game worlds.

Currently in Beta with new updates every week, StarBreak impresses with it’s luscious visuals, engaging combat and huge selection lot loot. Players team up, purchase equipment and take on missions via the central hub. These missions feature procedurally generated levels, set across seven diverse zones with challenging boss fights. The combat in StarBreak is deliberately more strategic than your normal run and gun shooter with you having to prioritise between moving and shooting, and there’s plenty of weaponry to try out too.

It’s a fun game, that offers a unique massively multiplayer experience in a genre that usually just offers local co-op at most. A loot-filled strategic shooter that you can play with all your friends.

Dragomon Hunter is an epic blend of Pokemon and Monster Hunter, in which you set out to defeat and tame every single Dragomon in the games large and diverse world.

As you progress through Dragomon Hunter’s world you’ll fight monsters, level up, collect valuable materials and craft powerful equipment and weaponry. Characters have three different skill trees, allowing you to unlock different attacks and abilities. Players can experiment with different builds as much as they like, as it’s easy and free to reset skill points and stat points.

Equipment and stats are all fine and well, but to successfully defeat different Dragomon, players must observe their behaviour and look for weaknesses before taking them on. The fast, fluid combat offers great feedback and makes battling enemies a blast. Once they’re defeated you can tame them and even use every single one of them as a mount - all 100+ different Dragomon, including air and sea creatures.

The vibrant world of Dragomon Hunter is a joy to explore, packed full of beautiful scenery and varied wildlife to defeat and tame. Can you tame ‘em all?

Skyforge is a spectacular looking massively multiplayer sci-fi fantasy RPG currently in development by Obsidian (The Stick of Truth, KOTOR2, Fallout: New Vegas) and Allods team (Allods Online).

Set in a set in a world of gods and heroes, Skyforge tasks players with protecting their planet from dangerous monsters and space invasions. Along the way you’ll gain followers and progress from an immortal warrior to a mighty elder god, helping to shape the fate of your world.

It’s an impressive game, with fast and flowing combat inspired by console action-combat games, complete with spectacular battles, powerful combos and brutal finishing attacks. It’s also possible to swap character classes on-the-fly, allowing you to experiment with different play-styles and accommodate for different in game challenges.

Now in Open Beta, Skyforge really is doing a lot of things right - a beautiful massively multiplayer world, plenty of variety and engaging combat. And really, who wouldn’t want to play as an ass-kicking elder god?

Tower Unite is a very ambitious Unreal Engine 4 powered community-based virtual world full of party games, entertainment, and activities.

It sounds a little like the ill fated (but popular) PlayStation Home, but is actually more of a spiritual successor to (and created by the developers of) a popular Garry’s Mod game-mode - Gmod Tower. More importantly, Tower Unite won’t be riddled with micro-transactions and subscription fees - upon release players will pay just $15 for ALL the games content, with a promise of free DLC forever.

Tower Unite is made up of three core areas - The Condo, The Plaza and The Game Worlds. The Condo is a highly customisable space that you can kit out exactly how you like it, watch YouTube videos, listen to music and invite friends over. The Plaza is a lively place that lets you meet with friends, dance, get drunk, vomit, use jetpacks, rollerblade, use voice or text chat and lounge about in pool tubes.

Playing games is the main attraction though, with players able to take part in a variety of fully fledged 6-18 player games - including first person shooters, kart tracing, co-op games, quiz games, minigolf and puzzle games. The current Alpha Demo offers up a taste of this gaming experience, with Ballrace - a fun (and tricky) Super Monkey Ball-esque ball rolling skill game.

If the rest of the games are as engaging as Ballrace and The Condo and Plaza are as good as they sound then Tower Unite will be a very exciting prospect indeed. It’s already raised over a third of it’s $50,000 IndieGoGo goal in just one day, so the future certainly looks bright for Tower Unite.

Project Genom is a great new massively multiplayer third person shooter/RPG in which you explore, fight and survive on beautiful, but dangerous alien worlds.

It features a satisfying skill based dynamic non-targeting combat system, and tons of loot to customize your character with all manner of cool suit parts and weaponry. You can even pilot vehicles and huge combat mechs or summon various creatures to help smash your foe. If that’s a bit to hands off for you, then you can specialize in close quarters melee combat, using manipulators to enhance your physical strength and deal devastating damage.

As you explore the huge planets and as search for knowledge that could save or destroy humanity, Project Genom’s storyline will be fully affected by the decisions you make, with even minor decisions having far reaching consequences. You’ll even be able to collect resources and build a spaceship - allowing you to discover new planets and new technologies.

It’s a great looking and ambitious game, that looks set to offer a lot of the features Destiny failed to deliver. Skill based combat in a real massively multiplayer environment, with plenty of customization and a rich universe where decisions have real consequences.

Devilian - a great looking new persistent world action MMORPG from Trion Worlds (creators of ArcheAge, Trove & Defiance), in which you play a half-devil fighting to save the world from a fallen god.

There are four classes, each with their own unique devil form that can be unleashed upon on foes. Combat is fast and action-filled, with multiple PvE and PvP modes - from 20 v 20 to 3 v 3. There’s a wide range of features to keep you busy in Devilian too, such as crafting, quests, trading, mounts, pets and guilds.

It’s a good looking game, with fun combat and a great premise - who wouldn’t want to play ahalf-devil and take on a fallen god? Spread your wings and unleash your dark side!
