in Wild Flirting you play a monster, searching for true love with a dating app on your phone and trying not to scare them off with your beast-like behaviour.

You have been quite lonely lately. Being a monster, you aren’t too good at normal social conventions, though you want to try your luck at love. After practicing your best smile and taking a killer selfie, you find some dates via a dating app. There are many different people to choose from to create a match. Once you have chosen a person, you must choose the right responses to seem gentle, kind, funny and as un-monsterlike as possible.

With it’s charming visuals, wonderful premise and silly sense of humor, Wild Flirting is a joy to play.  Hopefully you’ll find true love – no matter how grotesque they look, monsters need loving too!

Does It Shoot is a fun pixel art puzzle action game in which you use interchangeable parts to create a wide variety of powerful weaponry to battle an alien menace.

Each weapon you create consists of three different parts, a stock an chamber and a barrel, you simply select which parts you want to use and set forth onto a battlefield to see how far you make it before your inevitable defeat.

Certain configurations of weapons work better than others, so a bit of experimentation is necessary.  The better the weapon, the further you’ll make it on the battlefield, and unlock more parts for your efforts. This creates a satisfying feedback loop as you craft and test your weapons.  Does it shoot?  It shoots rather well actually!

ScarKrow is a stylish 2D action platformer where you play as a humanoid scarecrow, with an ability to lock on and teleport to enemies, then slice them up.

Your goal is us your teleportation skills to reach a magic stone at the end of each level. It’s a fun and rather tricky game in which your enemies are less of an obstacle and more of a helpful stepping stone to your destination.  In ScarKrow you’ll get by with a little help from your enemies.

Where They Once Were, a stunning Ludum Dare 31 game, puts you in the position of a woman who has found a strange and abandoned cottage while trying to escape some pursuers.

You must now survive in this strangely empty cabin. This cabin is locked, but a key is hanging right by the door, so it seems as if anyone can just go right in. There is plenty of supplies, enough to get a fire going, a gun to keep you safe, and maybe even some food hidden around. Through simply picking up objects and interacting with things, you will be able to light a fire and sleep off your first night in this place. At night, however, things get a bit strange. A ghost seems to loom outside your cabin, over a specific spot that seems to have some sort of skull in it. Maybe its only a dream.

The next day there is a little bit more to do. It is snowing outside, so you cannot go back home. The snow is too thick. You must find some food, keep your fire going, and explore the attic. In the attic is a number of things, including a hidden book. This book is quite creepy, written by a paranoid person who must have also lived in this cabin. The past owner of the cabin must have been crazy, right? Best not to think about whatever drove them out of the perfectly working cabin, in such a haste that they forgot basically everything they owned.

Depending on what you do in day two, you might get one of two visitors; a wolf or a demonic creature. Both of these creatures look to destroy you. Depending on what you do to these two monsters, you can live to breath another night, or die in the middle of nowhere. There are four endings to this amazingly polished game. I, myself, have only found three of these endings, all leading to my demise.

Will you survive this haunted cabin?

20 Days at Sea tasks you with surviving a shipwreck by diving, gathering resources, crafting tools and even eating pieces of your dead partner.

You play Margret, who while out at sea with your partner (John), encounters a freak storm which destroys your ship.  You must then search and scavenge for supplies which yo can consume or use to craft items which will aid your survival.  Food and water are in short supply, but you should be able to scrape together enough to keep you alive for 20 days (and if you’re starving you can always eat some of John’s rotting corpse).

Built for Ludum 3120 Days at Sea is a fun single screen survival experience.  We’d highly recommend playing it through for the full 20 days as there’s a very enjoyable twist at the end.

Last Ark is an interesting roguelike space adventure that sees you controlling a symbiote who’s piloting a craft containing all that remains of the human race, as you search the Universe for a planet that can support life.

As you explore the Universe you’ll have to make some pretty tough decisions in order to manage your energy, health and resource levels.  As you search for a suitable home, you’ll need to gather Oxygen and resources from planets ans use solar power to charge your batteries.  Resources are used to upgrade the ship and keep your symbiote alive - but if you’re in a pinch, you can sacrifice a human (which will also stop your O2 levels dropping so fast).

There’s a constant balancing act in Last Ark as you race to find a suitable home planet.  When you find a planet to land on and set down the game is over - so choose wisely.  It has 5 different endings depending on how many humans are left alive, and you’ll have to be a very good captain (or very lucky) to save them all.

Composed for Ludum Dare #31, Save the Giant takes sidescroller action to new heights with its simplicity and addicting action. This 2D combat/climbing title assigns players to ascend to the top of a giant colossus that’s infected with creatures leeching off its body and emitting spores that attack the player when they get anywhere near it.

The controls are simple and complete, enough to get the job done. The player character can run, jump, climb vines, swing their sword, and shoot arrows. After completing the game, the developer received enough positive praise and support to build a larger team and continue developing the project into something bigger and more expansive. This title will be developed into a full game should they acquire enough team members to reach the development goal.

Ludum Dare #31 (Dec 5th-8th) challenged developers to create a game that’s all on one screen, so no loading different areas or cells. Off the bat, players run to the giant and begin climbing and fighting their way to the top. It’s a challenging action title that keeps a quick-paced gameplay through its moderate difficulty and controls.

Contact Cowboy is a two player local multiplayer game made for the Ludum Dare 31. This game puts each of the players into a role. One player is a gunman, a person who has a gun and 6 bullets. Their objective is to kill the knife man so that he is unable to complete his objectives without wasting too many bullets. The knife man must grab C4 from the middle of the screen and plant it on a statue. Once that is done, he must go back and kill the gun man. If the gunman kills the wrong person or hits more than just the knifeman, then he loses. If the knifeman kills the wrong person, he also will lose.

This game is not as easy as it seems. Each time you play it, you will appear as a new person, in a crowd of lots of people. It takes a minute to figure out who you are, let alone start completing your objectives. You must bluff, hope that your friend is not smart enough to find out who you are and kill you. This game is simple, but the graphics and gameplay very well done.  It’s a clever local multiplayer battle of wits that see’s you trying to outsmart your friends, then kill them.
