Mobs Inc. is a fast paced and fun arcade action game in which you control a new recruit in a dungeon, employed to dispatch the constant stream of adventurers that keep invading.

Movement in Mobs Inc. is controlled entirely with the mouse, with your character constantly walking towards the cursor and performing a jumping slash attack with the left mouse button.  You have four lives to kill as many adventurers as possible, impress your boss and level up as high as possible, unlocking new special moves on your way.

Created for Ludlum Dare 33, Mobs Inc. impresses with its great pixel art animation, quirky sense of humor and addictive, fast paced combat.  You’d better do a good job protecting the dungeon, you don’t want to piss off your boss!

Me is a short and visually spectacular 2D side-scrolling action game created for Ludum Dare 33 that sees you hunting a mighty beast across beautiful hand painted backdrops.

Me is VERY short, and can be completed in just a few minutes, but it’s certainly worth experiencing for the fantastic hand painted artwork.  The beast is a huge, red, animated work of art - a little like the Colossi in Shadow of The Colossus, it’s work of such monstrous beauty, that it feels a shame to kill it.  To kill such a thing maybe you’re the monster…

Nom Monster is a fun little in which you use various treats to ‘fish’ for humans, dragging them up into the trees and eating them up.

You must try to avoid the dogs and birds (who try and steal your bait) and hook as many tasty humans as possible before you starve to death.  It’s a simple and addictive little game with a great visual style and deliciously dastardly premise.  Humans make for great nomming!

Hero Mate is a charming puzzle platformer in which you manoeuvre monsters into positions to assist a rather incompetent Mario-esque hero.

A brave (but stupid) hero is on a quest to save a princess, and charges ever forward, oblivious of any hazards in his path.  Your job as the monsters is to gently guide him across the levels, bouncing him across gaps and deadly water traps.

It’s a fun and thankless task helping the hero on his quest.  Many monsters will die and the hero remains oblivious to your assistance, but what is a hero without monsters?  Useless apparently!

The Mammoth: A Cave Painting is a beautifully crafted and surprisingly emotional tale that tells the five million year story of the mammoth in five minutes.

You play a large female mammoth who sets out to find her children and becomes separated from the herd.  Without the safety of your herd, you’ll have to protect your young from the tribes of humans that are trying to hunt them down.  Thankfully the hunters spears cannot harm you as you’re too large, but unfortunately they can harm your children.   You must attempt to protect your young, squash the hunters, and wreak vengeance for any child lost.

With it’s charming visual style and great voice-work, The Mammoth: A Cave Painting weaves a short and rather poignant tale that’s well worth checking out.  Wooly good stuff.

Ever wanted to fly your own Iron Man suit?  Well now you can (sort of) with Uncontrollable Robot Man, an extremely hard to control toy robot with thrusters for arms and legs.

Played in a kids toy room, your ‘simple’ objective is to fly around and knock over all the toy plastic soldiers.  This is FAR easier than it sounds, as the QWOP-like control scheme makes your little rocket powered robot ridiculously hard to fly (which is what makes the game so frustratingly fun).  After a few minutes you’ll figure out a way to stop sliding along the ground and bashing into walls, but you’ll never become one with this flying machine.  There are plenty of objects to bash into and knock over, but you can be guaranteed that if you aim for anything specifically, you’ll miss it by a mile.

Tony Stark makes this look easy - you’re going to make it look like a monkey has stolen his suit!

ScarKrow is a stylish 2D action platformer where you play as a humanoid scarecrow, with an ability to lock on and teleport to enemies, then slice them up.

Your goal is us your teleportation skills to reach a magic stone at the end of each level. It’s a fun and rather tricky game in which your enemies are less of an obstacle and more of a helpful stepping stone to your destination.  In ScarKrow you’ll get by with a little help from your enemies.

The Reviewer is a fun little game inspired by Papers Please, that sees you managing restraints and distractions in order to get your video game reviews completed under strict deadlines.

It starts off fairly simply, with you simply reading the comments your character makes while playing a game, then using this info to make an informed choice of the four possible reviews within a strict time limit.  Your Editor then gives you feedback on how well you did, along with an Editor opinion rating and a public opinion rating.

As the game progresses, more and more distractions and tasks are introduced – such as NDA’s,  rating systems, Twitter feeds and Homework.  All of these must be managed while still paying attention to your characters comments and making an informed review on the game.

To be a successful game reviewer you’ll have to keep your public opinion from falling and keep your editor happy, all while balancing coursework and other distractions.   Reviewing video games actually makes for a fun game – any similarities to how ABG conducts it’s reviews are entirely coincidental!
