Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch is a free project created by CutmanMike and a Team MM8BDM. It’s a retro styled FPS based on the 8-bit Mega Man games. It includes every robot master as a playable skin, over 50 weapons and maps inspired by the original games, 32 player online play, a singleplayer botmatch campaign and much more. If you’re a fan of online first person shooters or Mega Man, you have to give Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch a go!

Heroes and Generals is an ambitious MMO FPS with RTS elements that’s been Greenlit on Steam. On one level it’s a team based FPS action game where players can engage in combat using a variety of characters, customizable weapons and vehicles such as tanks, fighter planes and even the mighty bicycle!

Players can also play at a strategic level commanding other players or entire groups in Assault Teams into combat. On top of that the strategic players have to manage resources and reinforcements in order to secure key locations on the battle map.

Mini Combat is a cartoony First Person Shooter. Choose a side, Red or Blue and kill the opposite team! It’s still very early in development so things, including the name, art assets and everything else will/can change. It features 6 different character classes and team-deathmatch, deathmatch and zombies game modes.

Survarium is a free2play MMOFPS game set in the near future. The game focuses on the aftermath of a massive ecological catastrophe on Earth, the reasons behind which are only vaguely known.

Set in a world with decaying cities that nature has reclaimed, poisonous plants, mutants, wild animals and yet unknown threats of anomalies, where, like in the Bermuda Triangle, entire squads disappear.

The game is developed with new proprietary Vostok Engine technology and is planned for release on PC by the end of 2013.

Estranged is a great adventure horror FPS based on the Half Life 2 Source SDK, currently on Greenlight.

It tells the story of a lone fisherman, whose ship is stranded on a mysterious island during a violent storm. This is the first act of 3, with each act lasting around 1 to 2 hours. Throughout the game, you’ll talk to the strange locals, solve physics based puzzles and fight infected/zombies and guards. It’s a great little game, that’s made excellent use of the Source SDK engine.

Toy Wars Invasion is a fun new FPS, currently on Steam Greenlight that’s basically Toy Story with guns!

You and up to 3 other players have to take on an assortment of toys, including Jack in the boxes, Wizards, plastic soldiers, dolls, aliens and teddy bears. You can bring these toys down with an suitably eclectic assortment of weapons, such as nerf guns, 6-shooters, disk launchers, staple guns, goo guns and party popper shotguns. There’s also a variety of vehicles that you can drive throughout the levels including toy cars and model trains.

A revolutionary FPS, in which the unique mechanic is that time only moves when you do. It’s a bit like Braid, but with guns! It’s a great idea, well executed, a joy to play, and very stylish.
