Transformers Universe is a 3rd person MOBA that pits Autobots against Decepticons in heated battles of metallic carnage.

The game looks wonderful, with the 3rd person perspective and the ability to transform adding new dimensions to the normal MOBA formula.  There are also plenty of customisation options available, allowing you to modify your mighty metallic warrior to match your play style.  It may be another MOBA in a market that’s reaching saturation point, but Transformers Universe has a surprising amount of fresh ideas.  These robots in disguise are more than meets the eye.

The Open Beta starts today (July 4th) and this weekend they’re going to be celebrating with a double XP weekend, a 24-hour live Twitch stream (11am EDT July 5 - 11am EDT July 6) and $75,000 in prizes to be won.

Beta Sign-Ups for Battlefield Hardline are now open, simply sign in with your Origin account and select your platform - PC & PS4 only at the moment but other versions may follow.

The site is under considerable load just now as EA have yet again failed to anticipate the demand, so you may have to be patient, but if you do sign up you’ll also unlock a weapon camo/skin, a sight and other additional content in Battlefield Hardline and a unique dog tag for Battlefield 4.

Battlefield Hardline is EAs latest in the series of Battlefield games, this time with a focus on law enforcement.  In multiplayer, the world is simple. You’re on one side of the law or the other — a baton or bat, stun gun or rifle, armored police truck or transport vehicle. But either way, teamwork is going to be essential if you’re going to want to pull off that perfect heist or big time bust.

Fable Legends is a 5 player asymmetric multiplayer game coming to Xbox One, similar to Evolve, where 4 players work together to defeat one all powerful villain.

Based on the Fable series, and in production by Lionhead Studios, you’ll return once again to the land of Albion.  You can play the whole game in single player if you wish, with three computer controlled allies, or co-operatively with 3 friends, with the ability to switch easily between single player and multiplayer whenever you decide.  During a quest, you can elect to battle a human villain or an AI villain.

Fable has always presented opportunities for mischief and villainy, and in Fable Legends you’re able to play the bad guy as never before.  The Villain player takes control of the many creatures, minions, traps, and environmental hazards that Heroes must overcome.  When those Heroes enter an area, you’ll choose which minions are sent into battle and where to place these creatures to maximize their effectiveness.  Once the fight begins, you issue the orders for your creatures to execute: telling them where to go, which Hero to attack, and what abilities to use to ensure your evil plans come to fruition.

If the trailer is anything to go by it’s going to be a very good looking game, with fun combat and a nice selection of creatures to beat up/command.  The 5 player multiplayer is particularly exciting, playing the hero looks like fun, but playing as a villainous dungeon master sounds wicked.

Throughout it’s development, Dirty Bomb has changed names from Dirty Bomb to Extraction and now back to Dirty Bomb again.  Hopefully they’re not as indecisive about the rest of the development process, but we’re happy they’ve gone back to Dirty Bomb – it sounds a bit less generic than Extraction.

It’s a highly competitive PC first person shooter from Splash Damage, the developer of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Brink and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.  In it you can Snipe, attack, cover, or heal throughout the streets of London with a wide range of mercenaries, each big on personality and long on abilities.  It’s a good looking game, probably best to sign-up quickly before they change the name again though!

Death to Spies 3 is a third person stealth game that’s the third instalment of the popular ’Death to Spies’ series, taking place in both the World War II and the Cold War era.  You play as a Russian captain named Semyon Strogov (it’s a rather unfortunate first name) who has the necessary skills to accomplish dangerous, almost suicidal missions.

The game feels like an old school stealth game with a James Bond vibe to it and a range of Hitman-style weaponry.  The stealth mechanics are solid, you have a garrotte to choke your enemies and a silenced pistol to take out unreachable targets, and you can also drag bodies out of sight to not alarm other enemies.

It’s shaping up to be a great stealth game, with stealthy Hitman-style gameplay in a cold war seting, and some nicely polished visuals.

Football Club Manager (FCM) a.k.a. FCManager is a management sim that automatically runs even when you’re not connected, features thousands of officially licensed players, online multiplayer and a snazzy live view mode.

It’s a good looking game, with some interesting features, chief among these is the way that your team will continue to play even when you’re not there.  Each season lasts for a week, so is you just ignore the game for a week, you may come back to a league trophy (there’s probably more chance of you getting relegated though!).

Online multiplayer is another big feature, which allows you to play against real players, all trying to prove they’re a Ferguson, not a Moyes.  Whether FCM will take Football Manager’s football managing crown is debatable, but it’s free to sign-up and there are lots of prizes and bonuses during the Beta testing period.
